And Beckett Park, set high on a ridge between Headingley and Kirkstall, boasts wonderful views of the Kirkstall valley. The seven mile Meanwood Valley Trail is just minutes from the city centre and offers incredible views from Woodhouse Ridge. Another lovely route is the five mile Fulneck Loop Circular route, an easy going walk where you make your way through the Pudsey Beck valley. Or take a walk on the wild side with the grandchildren along the Amazon Trail at Roundhay Park Tropical World, an authentic jungle habitat.

Leeds is home to four renowned theatres, and many museums and galleries to explore. Step back in time at the Abbey House Museum with its historical relics, or at Armley Mills to experience life during the Industrial Revolution. The city’s Art Gallery hosts an impressive collection of art dating back to the 1820s and the award winning Henry Moore Institute is a world recognised centre for the study and enjoyment of sculpture.
