Service Charge Calculator

The Service Charge pays for the services and facilities at a Development. The charge will vary from Development to Development and reflects the level of service that is provided. The charge covers such things as the provision of the Development Manager, the cleaning of the communal areas, the emergency call response, gardening, buildings insurance and lift maintenance, etc.

Remember that, in addition to the items listed in the Service Charge Calculator, the following services and benefits are also covered by the Service Charge:

 

  • A Development Manager (residential or non-residential) whose role it is to oversee the smooth-running of the site and the well-being of Residents.

 

  • An Area Manager whose remit is to monitor the fabric of the Development and to trouble-shoot any major issues relating to the building or Residents. He/she are also responsible for producing the annual budget and monitoring expenditure at the Development.

 

  • Careline round-the clock Emergency Call System and Response

 

  • Door Entry and Fire Alarm Systems and Maintenance

 

  • Lift(s) to all Floors

 

  • Continous Upkeep of Communal Areas of the building (internal and external).

 

  • Electricity for Communal Areas

 

Please note that personal home and contents insurance, electricity consumption, Council tax and telephone bill are not covered by the Service charge.
