Services and facilities

Every development we have in our portfolio is different, but below are a few guidelines on the kind of facilities and benefits you might expect from retirement living

House Manager
The majority of sites have a House Manager who is on duty from 9 to 5pm Monday to Friday to ensure that all services and facilities run smoothly and to help residents with any queries they might have regarding the development.

Emergency call system
All developments have an emergency call system in place, providing round the clock security and peace of mind. Should something happen or an emergency arise, you only need to pull the nearest cord or press the button on your pendant, phone or watchstrap to be put through instantly to either the House Manager (during office hours) or Careline, where a highly-trained operator will deal with the emergency in hand.

Residents' lounge
Most developments will have a communal lounge for the benefit of residents. The lounge provides a good focus for social activity and is used by residents for evening entertainment and social gatherings such as the weekly coffee morning.

Communal laundry
If washing machines are not fitted into each individual apartment there will usually be a communal laundry on site. The laundry contains washing machines and dryers for the free use of residents.

Guest room

Guest rooms usually have twin beds and en suite bathroom and mean that residents can invite family and friends to stay at very reasonable rates.

Lift
All lifts are regularly maintained and are linked through to a Careline system in case of emergencies.

Maintained gardens
Gardens are maintained on a regular basis by approved contractors.

Car park
All developments have car parking spaces which are usually run on a daily first-come, first-served basis.

Social activities
Many residents form social committees to organise activities and entertainment for the benefit of other residents. Typical activities include theatre outings, guest speakers and entertainers, bridge afternoons, coffee mornings.
